Characters

here is a fun little personal project I've been working on for some time.  Its just a bunch of characters for a Torchlight 2 like game that will never be made.  I've been working on it over the past year just whenever I don't feel like working on something completely from scratch.

Some of the characters have gone through a lot of iterations and even seen some serious polishing.  I even managed to make one set of weapons, thought they don't seem to match any specific armor set.


This was an alchemist type character. I figured he could build traps and maybe some automatons or Frankenstein type monsters.



Some rough concepts for just a plain old warrior, although a handful of them start moving into magic user and rogue space.


I ended up eliminating my least favorite ones and stated polishing them a bit, also making a handful of design changes to some of the costumes.


This is where I realized doing fully polished versions of 9 characters was insane, so I picked the 3 most interesting and diverse ones and just finished them off.




Some rough concepts for what was originally just an Archer type character, but she just ended up being the tall lady.  My monitors (Both!) started crapping out around this time so some of the colors are a bit weird and greenish.


Polished a handful of them, with new monitors.  I think my coworkers helped me pick which ones...I think I would have picked a couple of different costumes...maybe. I don't remember.




And these where some sorceress type characters.  A bit younger looking than the archer.


Oh and weapons....for the warrior? maybe Alchemist dude?  I duno, just wanted to share them.
did some more characters today.  Focused more on quality than quantity with these.

Two sketches I did tonight.  Trying to get that epic feel that ArenaNet does so well.



I seem to naturally go towards snowy mountains whenever I'm drawing environments....maybe I should try something else next time.
